     A tasty creamy salad recipe!!! If you are bored with the normal salad, try this salad with mayo dressing. You can add any ingredients you like into this. Try macaroni, chicken, potatoes etc..the list goes on and on. Let's check out the recipe. Give it a try!!

INGREDIENTS

       1. Broccoli - 1 cup (cut to florets)
       2. Carrot -  1/2 cup (cut to thin strips)
       3. Apple - 1 medium sized (chop cubed)
       4. Peanut or badam - 1 tbspn

   For the salad dressing,

        1. Mayonnaise - 3 tbspn
        2. Yogurt - 2 tbspn
        3. Lemon juice - 1 and 1/2 tspn
        4. Sugar a pinch
        5. Salt to taste
        6. Pepper powder - 1 tspn

PREPARATIONS

       * Combine all the ingredients of salad dressing in a bowl and mix well. Keep aside.
       * Clean the broccoli. Steam the cleaned broccoli for about 10 minutes and move it to a bowl. Allow to cool completely.

An andhra style peanut chicken masala.  This masala is spicy, you can adjust the spice level as per your preference. Let's check out the recipe.

INGREDIENTS 
  1. Chicken - 1/2 kg   2. Yogurt - 3 tbspn   3. Ginger - garlic paste - 2 tspn   4. Turmeric powder - 1/4 tspn   5. Garam masala - 1/2 tspn   6. Cumin seeds - 1 tspn   7. Peanut - 2 tbspn   8. Greenchilli - 1 or 2    9. Onion - 2 medium chopped  10. Coriander powder - 1 tspn 11. Redchilli powder - 1 tspn 12. Tomato ketchup - 3 tbspn 13. Lemon juice - 1 tbspn 14. Coriander leaves  15. Salt  16. Oil - 3 or 4 tbspn
PREPARATIONS

EASY BROCCOLI STIR FRY

     An easy and healthy broccoli stir fry. Let's check out the recipe.


INGREDIENTS

     1. Broccoli - 1 cup
     2. Oregano - 1/4 tspn
     3. Pepper powder - 1/2 tspn
     4. Garlic cloves - 3 chopped
     5. Butter - 2 or 3 tbspn
     6. Toasted bread pieces
     7. Salt

PREPARATIONS

      * To clean broccoli: Soak broccoli in hot water. Add 1/4 tspn turmeric powder and salt. Soak it for about 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, wash and drain excess water.
       * Heat butter in a pan over medium flame, add chopped garlic and saute for few seconds.
       * To this add broccoli florets, pepper powder, oregano and salt. Mix well. Cover and cook it for 5 minutes.
        * Move it a serving plate. Add toasted crispy bread on top. Serve hot!!!

INGREDIENTS

     1. Spinach (cheera) - 1 bunches
     2. Garlic - 4 chopped
     3. Greenchilli - 1 sliced
     4. Onion - 1/2 sliced
     5. Grated coconut - 1/2 cup
     6. Oil - 1 and half tbspn
     7. Salt to taste

PREPARATIONS

      * Wash the spinach and strain excess water. Chop it finely.
       * Heat a pan, add oil, chopped garlic, sliced greenchilli. Saute it.
       * Then add sliced onions, salt and saute it for a minutes.
        * Add chopped spinach. Combine well.
        * Cover and cook it for a minutes or till done stirring occasionally.
        * Then add grated coconut and mix well.

JAGGERY RICE PAYASAM

JAGGERY RICE PAYASAM
            (SHARKKARA PAYASAM)

    A traditional sweet recipe made with jaggery, rice and grated coconut. Here goes the recipe.


INGREDIENTS

    1. Payasam Rice / Boiled rice (Ponni ari)  - 1 cup
    2. Jaggery - 5 ( increase or decrease the amount)
    3. Grated coconut - 1 cup (increase or decrease the amount)
    4. Chana daal - 1/4 cup
    5. Cardamom powder - 1/2 tspn
    6. Water

PREPARATIONS

    * Wash and soak boiled rice and chana dal in different bowl for 1 hour.
    * Take 2 cooker and pressure cook the rice and chana daal by adding water for 3 whistle in medium flame.
    * Boil jaggery in water and strain well.
    * When the rice is cooked well, add jaggery water and mix well.
     * Then add cooked chana dal, cardamom powder and grated coconut. Combine well.
      * Cook it for 5 minutes stirring continuously.
Tasty jaggery rice payasam ready to serve.
